Thursday's Eats ~ Spinach Pinwheels

Last week I made a recipe that A Few Shortcuts posted on her blog, Creamy Spinach Pinwheels. I love easy appetizer recipes like this AND I had everything but the spinach, so I made them!  They were really yummy too. This recipe won't make it to my "healthy" list, but they do taste great. :)

First, mix the cream cheese, spinach, and minced garlic together in a bowl.

Stir it all together.

Then, so you can copy Miss Space Cadet, remember that you forgot the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and add those to the bowl! Or you could do all of this in step 1. Whatever floats your boat.

Mix well. Again.
Lay out the crescent rolls on a clean surface and then pinch the dough together on the perforated edges to make one smooth sheet of dough.

Spread spinach mixture down the middle of both pieces of dough.  You want to leave about a 1/2 inch on the sides, so that the filling doesn't ooze when you roll. ooze...what a appetizing word.

Roll them up longways!

Then cut into 1" thick pieces. This is a little messy and not too pretty.  Cooking them makes them pretty again!

Then bake them at 375* for 10-15 minutes.

Golden brown, yummy, cheesy deliciousness.  I sure do use the word yummy a lot.

These were very easy, yummy, and pretty inexpensive!  Seriously, that yummy word and exclamation marks show up everywhere on this blog. I don't know where they come from. :)
These are perfect for an appetizer or even alongside a garden salad!
