Making a Living

“Never Get So Busy Making a Living that You Forget to Make a Life.”

We don't know what tomorrow holds or what next week may bring, all we have is today.  It's so important for us to take time to invest in our relationships and to not take anyone for granted.

Helping to get a business off of the ground has taken a lot out of me and Caleb.  It seems that 24/7 we are doing something for this business or thinking of things we need to do for this business.  While we're super excited about the concept of this business and where it is going, we are growing weary.  Especially since by working in our home, we never actually leave work.  I cannot wait (hopefully soon) until we have office space that we can MOVE work to.  I know that working from home has its perks, but it also has some serious downsides.  The phone never stops ringing.  My once clean house is never clean. There are piles of paper everywhere. It is very hard to separate work time from family time, because instead of leaving the office, you're leaving the dining room table.

I am thankful for what God has provided over the past 9 months, but (sorry God) I'm ready for a few more things to fall into place.  My prayer this week is that God takes this business to the next level of productivity and success, but also brings along some qualified people to help us out.  It's great to have so much business that you don't know what to do with it, unless you really don't know what to do with it! :)

Enjoy your Friday!
